Influence of the dynamical correlations on the ionization of irradiated metal clusters
Résumé
We present a semi-classical description of non-linear electron dynamics, able to take into account the dynamical correlations in form of an Ühling–Uhlenbeck collision term. These correlations should become important in the case of strongly excited dense electron systems, like a metal cluster irradiated by an intense femtosecond laser pulse. We show that electron–electron collisions significantly modify, with respect to a pure mean-field description, the energy transfer, thus yielding different final ionization and thermal energies.
