Modélisation et simulation numérique de l'étalement d'un fluide dense età haute température

Abstract : A free surface, high-temperature, tridimensional, multiphase spreading flow model is introduced. It is the seat of coupled physical phenomena, such as solidification due to radiation and convection, and conduction with the substrate. A single phase reduction of this model is used to compare the scales for two cases : that of geophysical flows (lava spread for Python de la Fournaise), and accidental spread (molten core spread at 2500 K in severe nuclear accidents). Simulations using the augmented Lagrangian method are being undertaken in order to predict spread terminal length, and front tracking.
