FBG-based smart composite bogies for railway applications

Abstract

FBGs are used as in-situ transducers for mechanical reliability assessment of new composite-based bogies. A 16 million cycles fatigue test was carried out. Asynchronous undersampled FBG measurements are in agreement with modeling.
