Structure and chemical durability of industrial glasses in acetic acid

In the context of REACH regulations and food contact standards assertions the chemical durability in acidic media of five different types of glass containers used daily across Europe is investigated. State-of-the art HR MAS NMR, ICP-AES and ToF SIMS were used to characterize samples altered for 2.5 years showing unique data of long-term alteration.
