Abstract : In the context of REACH regulations and food contact standards assertions the chemical durability in acidic media of five different types of glass containers used daily across Europe is investigated. State-of-the art HR MAS NMR, ICP-AES and ToF SIMS were used to characterize samples altered for 2.5 years showing unique data of long-term alteration.
