Magnetite-binding proteins from the magnetotactic bacterium Desulfamplus magnetovallimortis BW-1

Abstract : Recently discovered proteins from magnetotactic Deltaproteobacteria were tested for their ability to bind to magnetite surfaces. Two new proteins (Mad10, Mad11) were identified that display fast and nearly irreversible magnetite binding.
