Evaluation of the Effect of Burn-up on Neutron Flux and Reaction Rate Distributions in the TRIGA Mark II Reactor

Résumé

At the Reactor Physics Department of the Jozef Stefan Institute (JSI) a detailed Monte Carlogeometrical model of the TRIGA Mark II research reactor has been developed. It has beencontinuously utilized for the calculation of reactor parameters and in the support of the designand safety assessment of various experiments. A series of experiments aimed at measuringthe core neutron flux and reaction rate distributions has been performed with the objective of comparing the measurements and Monte Carlo calculations - the ultimate goal being the validation of the computational model.
