# Noise filtering in the total focusing method by decomposition of the time reversal operator and the virtual array approach

Abstract : The total focusing method is sometimes described in the literature as the gold standard'' compared to conventional ultrasonic imaging techniques. However, this method may suffer from a low signal-to-noise ratio, especially in materials with high structural noise. In this context, we propose a new method of noise filtering based on the decomposition of the time reversal operator and the use of virtual sources.
