Novel Preparation of N-Doped SnO 2 Nanoparticles via Laser-Assisted Pyrolysis: Demonstration of Exceptional Lithium Storage Properties

Abstract : Laser pyrolyzed SnO2 nanoparticles with an option of nitrogen (N) doping are prepared using a cost-effective method. The electrochemical performance of N-doped samples is tested for the first time in Li-ion batteries where the sample with 3% of N-dopant exhibits optimum performance with a capacity of 522 mAh gactive material −1 that can be obtained at 10 A g−1 (6.7C).
