Abstract : A multiscale modeling approach developed at CEA-DAM for fast plastic deformation of polycrystalline metals is described. It consists in a chain of models encompassing the atomic scale, the microscopic scale (dislocations), the mesoscopic scale (assembly of dislocations), up to the macroscopic scale of mono- and polycrystals. Their outcomes are embodied in a physical constitutive model suitable to finite-element codes.
